Our Process

Whether it’s one door or the whole house, Blue Puzzle Painting looks forward to the opportunity to work with you on your project. Depending on your project specifics, these steps give you an idea of our approach:

  • Setup

After clearing the area from furniture and such, everything not getting painted is covered with new plastic sheeting. We thoroughly mask and/or remove wall plates and hardware to ensure the new paint covers all possible areas.

  • Prep

Depending on the scope of the project, we then prep the areas with great detail by scuff-sanding surfaces and filling holes and cracks in ceilings and walls in order to create a lustrous finish.

  • Paint

Repaired areas are primed and premium quality paint (Benjamin Moore is our preference, but we will work with your requests) are applied to achieve a uniform finish.

  • Clean Up

Furniture and accessories are moved back to their places. Floors and rugs are vacuumed and/or mopped so dust is not distributed. We remove all tools and materials from the premises. We pride ourselves on leaving the area even better than how we found it.

  • Inspection

After our inspection, we ask our clients to inspect our work and asked to complete the feedback card for our crew.

Lead Safety

We follow the federal regulation known as the Renovation, Repair and Painting Program, which holds contractors responsible for following strict protocol to minimize and contain lead dust during home improvements on residences built before 1978–the year lead paint was banned in the U.S.
